Brooklyn Decker: "I Hate Showing Off My Body"

Brooklyn Decker will strip to the tiniest of bikinis if a movie or photo shoot demands it, but in her personal life, she feels more comfortable keeping her smoking bod under wraps in modest, less-revealing ensembles.

Ke$ha Is Channeling 'Sexiness' Of '70s Rock For New Album

Glitter-heavy pop star tells MTV News she's going for 'balls-out, irreverent rock and roll.'
By James Montgomery, with reporting by Matt Elias

<P><a href="/music/artist/_kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a>'s already got the face paint down pat, and, during recent live sets, she's even taken to <a href="http://www.popeater.com/2011/03/17/kesha-drinks-blood-during-performance" target="_blank">guzzling blood</a> out of a human heart, so it should come as no surprise that, on her upcoming album, the pop star is taking things back to the most <i>theatrical</i> era of rock: the prop-heavy, arena-spanning heyday of the 1970s. </P><P> </P><P>Ke$h revealed her plans over the weekend in Los Angeles, on the red carpet of KIIS FM's annual <a href="/news/articles/1663909/wango-tango-britney-spears-kesha.jhtml">Wango Tango</a> concert, where she told MTV News that the follow-up to her breakout <i>Animal</i> album (and, we suppose, <a href="/news/articles/1652714/kehas-cannibal-a-cheat-sheet.jhtml"><i>Cannibal</i></a> too) would be heavy on hard riffs and light on pretty much <i>everything</i> else. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Ke$ha Says New Album Will Be ' Balls-Out, Irreverent Rock'" id="vid:652875" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>"The next album ... I've been working on writing on the road, but as far as a sound, I just know it's gonna be balls-out, irreverent rock and roll," she said. "I've been pretty much in this '70s rock and roll kick and I just want to capture some of the true essence of what rock and roll is, and that's just irreverence and sexiness and fun and not giving a f---, so we'll definitely put a bit of rock and roll in it." </P><P> </P><P>So, does that mean that fans can expect the likes of Alice Cooper or Peter Frampton to show up on her new album? Perhaps. Because while Ke$ha's new album is still a ways off, she's already begun calling in favors, hoping to line up a killer collabo for the new disc. </P><P> </P><P>"I'm trying, trust me," she laughed. "I really would love to connect with one of my idols, I mean, that's my dream. I'm working on it." </P><P> </P><P><i>What do you think of Ke$ha going rock for her next album? Tell us in the comments!</i></p>

<P>In anticipation of the epic season premiere of <a href="http://www.mtv.com/shows/dance_crew/season_7/series.jhtml">"Randy Jackson Presents: America's Best Dance Crew,"</a> MTV has been rolling out a few very extra special details via <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/mtv">Twitter</a>, the biggest one being that tonight's premiere will feature performances set to our favorite songs from pop princess <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</a>. </P><P> </P><P>Spears <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/britneyspears/status/190197987526455298"> tweeted</a> out the good news herself. 'Snow White And The Huntsman' Sequel In The Works?

It's more than a month until first Kristen Stewart film is released, but David Koepp is reportedly in talks to pen a sequel script.
By Kara Warner

Despite the fact that we're still a little more than a month away from the release of "Snow White and the Huntsman," there are already rumblings of a sequel.

According to Deadline, Universal has apparently already begun talking to screenwriter David Koepp about writing a sequel to the film, which is one of this summer's most highly anticipated movies. Koepp certainly has enough credibility in drafting scripts for big blockbusters: He has screenplay credits on "Jurassic Park," "Mission: Impossible," "Spider-Man," "War of the Worlds" and "Men in Black III."

Naturally, we don't know what happens to the characters over the course of the film, but star Kristen Stewart has already expressed interest in reprising her role as the titular Snow White.

"To be totally candid and honest with you, when I first signed on to this thing, the idea of doing another franchise was like, 'Wow, [we'll] cross that bridge when it comes.' It was something so far outside my realm of thinking," she told MTV News when asked if she'd be game for more action and adventure as the fairest one of all. "I was so focused on the first one, and I thought, 'Maybe, maybe,' but I've got stars in my eyes. I'm literally over the moon about what I'm doing right now," she said of her work on "Huntsman." "Yes, I would love to [do more 'Snow White' films]."

"Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders is reportedly Universal's choice to helm the sequel if it happens, and judging from his positive comments about working with Stewart, it seems likely the pair could team up again.

"Kristen is a very driven, visceral, intuitive actress. From a director's point of view, it's great to get into her headspace," Sanders said. "We did a lot of work together on the script and character, and she really helped inform me how that character was feeling, which really helped my process getting the character onscreen. Kristen was doing a lot of her stunt work, she was riding horses, she was jumping from high precipices into freezing cold water, she was fighting dwarves — she's gung-ho."

Lady Gaga Under Fire After 'PopStarsDontEat' Comment

Pop star's post-workout tweet criticized by eating-disorder association.
By John Mitchell

<P>What was clearly intended as a jokey tweet lamenting the rigorous diet and exercise routine she is currently undertaking to prepare for her 110-date Born This Way Ball has put <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml "> Lady Gaga</a> in the crosshairs of some angry fans and eating-disorder organizations. </P><P> </P><P>On Tuesday, the pop star <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/ladygaga/status/189809689570189313" target="_blank">tweeted</a>, "Just killed back to back spin classes. Why she is being scrutinized for making an observation about something we already know &#8212; that celebrities engage in intense fitness regimens to meet the unrealistic expectations placed on their appearance &#8212; is kind of a mystery. </P><P> </P><P>But, you know, totally appropriate and necessary reason for outrage, everyone. </P><P> </P><P><i>Sound off on Gaga's #PopSingersDontEat tweet in the comments below!</i></p>

Judd Apatow's 'This Is 40' Trailer: Five Key Scenes

Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd are back as Debbie and Pete, picking up in their marriage where they left off in "Knocked Up."
By Fallon Prinzivalli

Melissa McCarthy and Paul Rudd in "This is 40"
Photo: Universal Pictures

Ever wonder what happened to Alison's sister and brother-in-law from "Knocked Up"? The dynamic duo of Debbie (Leslie Mann) and Pete (Paul Rudd) had a few key scenes in the film, including Debbie taking Alison (Katherine Heigl) to the club where she meets Seth Rogen's character.

Now Judd Apatow aims to brings us back into the lives of the couple as Debbie celebrates her 40th birthday in "This Is 40." Continually lying about her age as she refuses to accept it, Debbie wonders if she's living the best life possible and decides she and Pete need to make some changes.

"I've made a list," she tells her husband in a scene from the trailer, which was released on Friday (April 27). "It's the 'do-better' list. We're 40 years old, if we don't do it now, when are we going to do it?"

Read on for more on five key scenes from the clip!

Counting the Rings
At the gynecologist's office, the nurses try to figure out if Debbie was born in 1972, '74 or '75 since her paperwork lists a range of dates of birth. When Debbie finally blurts out, "I lie about my age, OK? OK?" her gynecologist responds, "I know how old you are. I'm counting the rings." And with that line, we know typical Apatow humor will be on display in this flick. After that exchange, Debbie decides it's time for a change and makes a list of the top three things she and her husband need to focus on now that they're in their 40s: exercise, the kids' education and being patient.

Exercise Every Day
In one scene, Debbie works with a personal trainer, which allows the filmmakers to bring back Jason Segel's "Knocked Up" character, also named Jason. "I can turn your body into a boner machine," he tells Debbie. When she points out that every woman gives him a boner, he replies, "Don't sell yourself short," before adding in a whisper, "Barb doesn't give me a boner." Looks like Jason's crush on Alison's sister never went away.

Get Involved in School
As Pete confronts a mother whose son is picking on his daughter, "Bridesmaids" star Melissa McCarthy makes a cameo as the confrontational mommy. She tells Pete to get his daughter's meds right and Pete calls her son an animal. When Pete gives her shoulder a little shove, she screams, "You touched my nipple!" When he tells her he merely touched her below her shoulder, she replies, "I have very high nipples!" How Rudd kept from breaking into laughter during that scene is beyond us.

More Patience With the Kids
Another key scene opens with Pete and Debbie's daughters pulling each other's hair as they fight in the back seat of the car. It then cuts to them at the dinner table, where Debbie announces they're cutting back on the girls' gadget use so they'll spend more time outside. She suggests instead that they build a fort, to which the exasperated eldest daughter exclaims, "And do what in the fort?" When Debbie says, "You don't need technology," the youngest daughter holds an iPhone up to her mouth and says, "No technology," as a monkey on the screen mimics her words.

Payback Time
The final scene shows Pete spread-eagle on a bed, holding a mirror up to his crotch trying to look at ... something. (We honestly don't want to know what.) When he asks Debbie to take a look, she asks if they can just keep a small shred of mystery in their relationship. Pete replies, "I saw you have babies — payback time." At least being in your 40s isn't boring.

"This Is 40" is set to hit theaters Christmas 2012.

Does Britney Spears Have 'The X Factor'?

MTV News takes a look at the pros and cons of bringing Spears onboard as a judge for the reality singing competition.
By John Mitchell

<P>The news that <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/spears_britney/artist.jhtml">Britney Spears</a> is reportedly in final negotiations to <a href="/news/articles/1680782/britney-spears-x-factor-judge-offer.jhtml">join "The X Factor"</a> has set the <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com">MTV Newsroom</a> on fire. Opinion on whether the pop star is a good fit for the reality singing competition has been sharply divided, so we decided to take on the topic the way we're sure Simon Cowell did before making Spears a reported $10 million offer: a good, old-fashioned pros and cons list. </P><P> </P><P><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:698603/cp~vid%3D698603%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A698603" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed> </P><P> </P><P><big><b>Pro: She'll attract viewers</b></big><br> </P><P>The <a href="/news/articles/1671220/x-factor-simon-cowell-ratings.jhtml">debut season of "The X Factor"</a> performed well below expectations. Its heavily hyped premiere pulled in 12.1 million total viewers and a meager 4.4/12 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18 to 49 demographic. That's about half of what the 2011 season of "American Idol" averaged ("Idol" is having its own ratings woes this season), and it didn't even win the night: Emmy-winning sitcom "Modern Family" drew 14.3 million viewers and a 6.0/15 for its season premiere. </P><P> </P><P>The poor ratings precipitated the overhaul that saw judges <a href="/news/articles/1678191/paula-abdul-exits-x-factor.jhtml">Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger</a> and host Steve Jones fired from the show. </P><P> </P><P>There's no question that Spears would bring viewers to "The X Factor." She enjoys a large and devout fanbase who will basically follow her just about anywhere. And beyond her own fans, Spears' celebrity would also likely draw attention from the general public, who will tune in simply to see how she does. </P><P> </P><P><big><b> Con: She's become nervous on camera </b></big><br> </P><P> </P><P>Though she can still wow a crowd live in concert, as evidenced by last year's successful tour behind her hit album <i>Femme Fatale,</i> Spears has become increasingly tentative during interviews. She rarely grants on-camera sit-downs, and when she does, she seems nervous and uncomfortable. </P><P> </P><P>To be a strong judge or mentor on a reality show, you have to be <i>very</i> comfortable on camera. Part of what made Jennifer Lopez click last season on "Idol" was that she came across as confident, direct and often empathetic. She even broke down in tears after <a href="/news/articles/1658584/americaon-idol-top-24.jhtml">sending home contestant Chris Medina</a>, whose fiancée suffered a severe brain injury in a car accident. The key word here is <i>after.</i> It's hard to imagine Spears being able to keep it together and deliver such difficult news in similar circumstances. </P><P>It's worth noting that a high-drama situation arose on the first season of "The X Factor" -- one that left <a href="/news/articles/1675936/x-factor-rachel-crow-elimination-reaction.jhtml">contestant Rachel Crow sobbing</a> onstage and Scherzinger a wreck ... a wreck who received <a href="http://www.thefablife.com/2011-12-05/paula-abdul-and-nicole-scherzinger-receive-death-threats-after-the-x-factor-elimination/" target="_blank">death threats</a>. Producers should also consider whether it's wise to send Spears, who has dealt with emotional issues in the past, into a genre that thrives when the emotional stakes are high. </P><P> </P><P><big><b>Pro: she is a contemporary artist</b></big><br> </P><P>One of the things we like most about <a href="/news/articles/1680496/the-voice-battle-rounds.jhtml">"The Voice"</a> is that its judges &#8212; Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton &#8212; are all active artists. They are all still hitting the studio to make hit records, and that lends a great deal of credibility to their opinions when they critique a contestant's performance. We don't mean to slight Abdul or Scherzinger, but you could argue that a legacy singer who hasn't released an album in over 17 years and a performer who has had a difficult time getting her own solo singing career off the ground aren't the best judges of who does and does not have "The X Factor." </P><P> </P><P>On the other hand, Spears may be. <a href="http://newsroom.mtv.com/2011/03/29/britney-spears-femme-fatale-reviews/">Last year's <i>Femme Fatale</i></a> gave Spears three top-10 singles &#8212; the most of any of her seven albums &#8212; and earned some of the best reviews of her career. While it's true that she did not write or produce much of the record, she was most certainly involved in picking her collaborators, which actually could speak well of her ability to know talent when she sees it. Spears also smartly chose red-hot rapper Nicki Minaj to open on the North American leg of her tour. </P><P> </P><P>When it comes to the contemporary pop music scene, Spears knows what works. </P><P> </P><P><big><b>Con: She's not known for her singing</b></big><br> </P><P>Unlike Aguilera, whose talent as a vocalist is indisputable, Spears is not known for her singing. By signing her to judge and mentor a singing competition, "X Factor" producers are setting themselves up for inevitable criticism. "Who is Britney Spears to judge a singing competition?" critics will scream (and they won't be wrong). </P><P> </P><P>When Aguilera critiques a performer's vocals, she speaks with authority &#8212; and her ear for singing proved to make her the most discerning judge on the "Voice" panel during the <a href="/news/articles/1679565/the-voice-christina-aguilera-jonathas-usher.jhtml">blind auditions</a>. Spears' judging style will likely be based on liking what's already there, but she's not going to have much insight on missed notes or pitch, which will cripple her ability to further mentor her team. How can she help them improve as vocalists when it's a truth universally acknowledged that she's not really a vocalist herself? </P><P> </P><P><i>Do you think Britney Spears is a good choice for "The X Factor"? Captain America

Go see Captain America this weekend! Support our Colin!

I went to the premiere on Tuesday and it was the coolest thing ever. First, the movie is AMAZING and Chris Evans is a superstar. Second, there were so many damn people there it was insane. I have been to movie premieres in New York before and they were nothing like this. I mean, they closed down Hollywood Boulevard. I would've taken photos to show you, but the invite said to leave phones in the car. But here's a photo of me in my cool Captain America 3D glasses:

(Sit down, stop jumping around, it's an awesome picture, I know. And the quality is amazing. It's not grainy or reddish... it's perfect.) (No, it's not.)

(And you can totally see the Captain America logo on the side of the glasses.) (No, you can't.)

Anyway, Captain America is pulling a strong 71% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes right now so GO SEE IT! IT'S FANTASTIC!

Tommy Marth, a saxophonist who toured with the Killers between 2008 and 2010 and played on their Sam's Town and Day & Age albums, was found dead Monday in his Las Vegas home. He was 33 years old.

No cause of death was initially given, but Reuters is now reporting that the Clark County Coroner has ruled that Marth died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head.

On Monday, the Killers took to their Twitter account to honor Marth's memory, writing, "Last night we lost our friend Thomas Marth. Our prayers are with his family. There's a light missing in Las Vegas tonight. Travel well, Tommy."

A spokesperson for the band could not be reached for comment by MTV News.

Marth was a key member of the Las Vegas music scene, playing with acts like Black Camaro and Halloween Town. He also worked in a variety of capacities at local venues like the Freakin' Frog, Revolution Lounge, the Royal Resort and the Hard Rock Hotel. Since November, he'd worked as Hard Rock's nightlife marketing manager, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

As news of his death began to circulate, the Sun spoke to several local musicians who remembered him as "one of the most talented people in our community." Vegas band the Big Friendly Corporation — which features Marth's older brother, Ryan, and younger sister, Melissa — paid tribute to him by posting a song on their official website called "Heaven's On Your Side," which features his playing.

Candice Swanepoel Covers Vogue Japan June 2012

Showing off her posing prowess for the Land of the Rising Sun, Candice Swanepoel is featured on the cover of the June 2012 issue of Vogue Japan.

The Victoria?s Secret stunner looks gorgeous in a Gucci dress on the front of the magazine, shot by famed photographer Terry Richardson.

And inside, Candice gives the frizzy, curly coif a try, proving that there?s no look that she can?t pull off masterfully.

When asked if she?s made any big plans for the summer, Ms. Swanepoel replied, ?Not yet. I usually go to Brazil ? I have a place there, so it?s just a no-brainer to go and relax down there. But this year I want to go to a couple of new places: I want to try Thailand, I want to go to Jamaica. We go to Tulum, I don?t know if you?ve ever been there, it?s amazing. It kind of has that Brazil feeling, that very rustic feeling on the beach.?

?I actually stayed in this place last time we went there, it?s kind of a hippie place, no electricity, nothing. You?re just in this hut on the front of the beach. It?s called Uno. After being in New York so much, you really have to go back to basics and teach yourself to relax: No electronics. The first couple of days, you?re like, ?What should we do? What should we do?? And then after you learn how to relax again.?
